Jennie B. Mischbaugh (1862-1946)
On the 1870 U. S. Census, Jennie was listed as Jannie and was approximately 8 years old and she was living with her family in Killbuck Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
On the 1880 U. S. Census, Jennie was listed under the name of Jennie Mischbauch in Kilbuck Township. In 1880 Jennie was approximately 18 years old.
The 1890 U. S. Census data was destroyed in a fire.
We cannot locate any 1910 Census information.
Jennie B. Hayes married James H. Hayes. Jennie and James were located in Turkey Creek Mining District, Yavapai, Arizona in 1910. The census data shows that Jennie was a miner and she and James both worked on a gold mine. We believe her sister Amanda had also moved to Arizona sometime 1910 and 1920.
The 1920 U. S. Census lists a Jennie B. Hayes located in Mayer and Camp Verde, Yavapai, Arizona. She was doing work associated with the mining industry. It shows Jennie is widowed.
Jenny B. Hayes was living in Mayer, Yavapai, Arizona in 1930. She is listed as a farmer and her land was worth $25,000. She is shown as being divorced. We are not sure if James and Jenny were divorced or James passed away and left Jenny a widowed.
Jennie passed away on 1 September 1946 in Prescott, Yavapai County, Arizona at the age of 83. She had been living in Bumblebee, Arizona. It does not appear that Jennie and James had any children. Mr. Myrtle E. Moore at 1185 Chester Avenue, Pasadena, California provided the information on Jennie's death certificate.
