Oswald R. Mischbaugh

Oswald R. Mischbaugh was the son of Unknown and Unknown. He was born in March 1858 in Germany.  His mother and father were both born in Germany.  He immigrated to the United States in 1881 or 1884.  He was married to Amanda Mischbaugh his cousin in 1889.  See the paragraph below describing their elopement from the Pittsburg Dispatch dated 21 November 1889.

The 1890 U. S. Census data was destroyed

On the 1900 U.S. Federal Census he was listed as Oswald Missbach.  He was living with his family in Ben Avon Borough, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.  In the 1900 Census he was listed as a Day Laborer and 1910 Census he was listed as a bookkeeper in a boat yard.

We are not sure what happened between 1910 and 1920 but it appears that Oswald is no longer listed.  We are not sure if he passed away or not and have not been able to locate a death certificate.  Amanda appears in the 1920 U. S. Census located in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona with her son and daughter William and Katherine.  It appears that she married James L. Dillon.
