Edward Fuller (1575-1621)

Edward Fuller was the son of Robert Fuller and Ann last name unknown. He was baptized on 4 September 1575 at Redenhall, Norfolk, England and died sometime during the winter in Plymouth, most likely between January and March 1621.  Edward's wife also died during that time.   Thomas Morton, writing in 1637, says that Samuel Fuller (brother of Edward Fuller) was the son of a butcher. The name Matthew also occurs in this Redenhall Fuller family.  Edward was mentioned in his father's will of 1614 in Leiden, Holland.  Edward was married but the name of his wife is not know.  The Mayflower History site states the name of Edward's wife was never discovered.

In James Savage's Genealogical Dictionary of the First Settlers of New England (1860-1862), Edward Fuller's wife was given as "Ann". However, there are no American or English records which give her name. James Savage may have made a simple typographical error.  Sources published after 1860 have utilized Savage's Genealogical Dictionary, and so the identification of Ann can be found in numerous other books and online resources.

Edward Fuller came to Plymouth in 1620 with his wife and son, Samuel.  His older son, Matthew, stayed behind and did not come to America until later.
